ASSU CALLS OFF STRIKE....

On the 11th of September 2017, 9:00am the ASSU's delegate met with the FGN. A memorandum of understanding was reached after about three hours of close door meeting and this resulted to the calling off of the ongoing strike as schools are told to resume work as from 18th of September 2017( next week Monday) . The chairman of the association said
'We pray for journey mercies for the students as they journey back to school. We are sorry for the strike, but our rights need to be fought for. This is the only way our voice can be echoed. We apologise for whatever inconvenience it has caused. All tertiary institution is to resume back on Monday 18th of sept, and all d institutions are expected to conducted their individual screening excercise and the result ready before 10th October as the general 2017/2018 academic session is to begin on or before 30th of October 2017.... We are so grateful for the support of the schools under the oneness of this association'....

' Together we bargain, divided we beg'.... All staffs and students should endeavou to comply to the above information

Yaya Toure Comes Out Of Interna tional Retirement  Source:  360nobs.com The agent of Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure has revealed that he is planning to come out of international retirement for Ivory Coast next year. Yaya Toure has not played for Ivory Coast since the final of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations, when he helped Ivory Coast to a penalty shootout victory over Ghana. However, the 34-year-is now planning to return to the international stage having seen opportunities at club level severely limited so far this season. “We must see [if he can play in January for Ivory Coast],” his agent Dimitry Seluk told Sky Sports News. “Maybe from March he will play. There have been many changes [in the squad]”. Ivory Coast, who failed to qualify for next year’s World Cup and suffered a first-round exit from the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations, will face Namibia, Zambia and Uganda in January before taking on Rwanda in March.
